2021 Mazda RX-6 should be the first model that this factory will produce new technology and new rotary engine, never seen in sports cars before. The timing is never better since the factory is celebrating 50th anniversary next year and starts with new lines of the sporty cars.
On the other hand, we had not been confirmed about those things by now, so all we know is in the domain of rumors and predictions.
As the old model was very attractive and sporty, new 2021 Mazda RX-9 should remain the same look and design, with only a few changes and those are mostly in order to upgrade the aerodynamic look and shape for higher speeds. That includes wide air intake on the front and wide tires, too.
We are sure that the cabin in 2021 Mazda RX- 9 will be as attractive and comfortable as on previous models, with improved technology and devices.
One of the most interesting things about 2021 Mazda RX-9 is its new rotary engine, that factory made as the biggest novelty for the future. As they said in official newsletter Zoom Zoom, “And the story’s not over yet. Without the rotary engine, there would probably be no Mazda.
And without Mazda, the rotary engine certainly wouldn’t have been in production for nearly 50 years.” So, we have a lot of reasons to believe that this engine will be placed not only in RX-6 but in other sports cars, too. Made to be placed in the new version of Mazda RX-8, rotary engine implies rotating of the engine for 180 degrees about its longitudinal axis.
The engine also has top mounted turbocharged and high exhausts ports and should have a three-angle rotor and new fuel injections and it is supposed to produce at least 400 horsepower of strength.
2021 Mazda RX-9 Release Date and Price
It is hard to say if 2021 Mazda RX-9 will be on the market as the announced and rumors confirm, but if that is true, we should expect this model to be showed at Tokyo Motor Show in October and selling and production from the end of the year or early in 2021.
The price is around $71,000 and goes to $88,000 and surely is one of the most favorable prices in the class. Keep in mind that price follows the usage and performance of the car, which is below the average. For example, Acura NSX and Nissan GT-R have a much higher price but better performances, but also slightly higher price.
