It has been rumored that Ford could bring back the well-known Bronco model. Its revival would make the SUV fans pleased and we have been informed that this model will be largely based on the next-generation Ranger. The new Bronco will hit the market with upgraded features and powertrain as a 2020 model.
The exterior of the 2020 Ford Bronco will definitely be inspired by the original 1966 Bronco design. However, it will carry numerous upgraded and modern features that will make this off-road vehicle unique. Some would still compare it to the F-150 model and, the already mentioned, Ford Ranger. In the front fascia, you will notice the well-known boxy design with a horizontal bar on the grille, round headlights and the front bumper that resembles the one seen on the F-150. A fresh look will be achieved due to large modern wheels. The concept has been shown as a two-door SUV although we believe this will not be the only configuration available. All in all, with its powerful and stable appearance, the new Bronco will seem ready to hit various types of terrains.
When it comes to interior of the 2020 Ford Bronco, it is once again being compared to the Ford Ranger. The cabin is expected to be largely upgraded, especially in terms of hi-tech features, since this model belongs to the next-generation SUVs. In the center console, you will find a large infotainment screen with all the necessary information, connectivity and entertainment options. The driver information displays will be available as well. Whether the 2020 Bronco comes as a two-door or a four-door configuration, it is expected to accommodate five passengers. However, there is not much information about the comfort and the materials that will be used, but we certainly hope for the best.
It is perhaps too early to talk about what the 2020 Ford Bronco will be hiding under its hood and none of the information about it has been confirmed. However, it is most likely that this SUV will come with the powertrain already seen under the F-150 skin. This should be the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6, with 325 horsepower and 375 pound-feet of torque. The other possibility could also include the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 that will be able to deliver 365 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. Whichever engine Ford decides upon, the new Bronco is expected to be mated to a ten-speed automatic transmission. There has not been anything said about the six-speed manual transmission, although it is being anticipated as well.
2020 Ford Bronco Release Date and Price
Compared to the next-generation Jeep Wrangler and taking into consideration options and trim levels, the 2020 Ford Bronco could cost between $30,000 and $45,000. It is expected to hit the showrooms in late 2019.
