2020 Dodge Charger has been announced as a great refreshment and redesigned model since 2016 when this rumors showed up for the first time. Since then nothing particular did happen and we still wait for the new Charger or at least a hint how it should look like. However, as we do not know all, let’s go through thing we do know so far.
First of all, the new owner of the brand is FCA, which points to a new platform that could be used for Charger. The most likely it will be the same as for Alfa Romeo Giulia, as on other Dodges in past few years. Besides that, there could be changes in the weight of the car, which will drop from 3,950 to 3,500. The length of the car is 198 inches this time. Both affect the speed and driving performances of the car, that is obvious, but as we do not know the engine it is unconfirmed information.
We even do not know the design of the 2020 Dodge Charger, even though we know that it is a great changed and modernized model, surely close to the famous and attractive concept from 1999. Being a muscle sporty car, it surely has to be curved and lower, with details that increase the speed and driving performances, but otherwise, there is no information about that.
Even though 2020 Dodge Charger aims to be a sporty car, that does not mean that it should be poorly designed and equipped inside of the cabin. We expect a modernized design and surely great equipment, which will make the model more competitive.
Here we go; one of the most questionable information about 2020 Dodge Charger is which engine the manufacturer could put on it. Knowing that the last model had 3.6-liter V6 with 292 horsepower of strength and 360 pound-feet of torque, it is for sure that the manufacturer will not change it a lot in the future. In combination with the lightweight chassis, it could be a good strong and fast sporty car that is for sure.
2020 Dodge Charger Release Date and Price
More information will be known later this year, as the first models should be on the market before the end of the next year. As the last time when Charger was redesigned was in 2015, and the manufacturer has delayed the new version few times, we expect that things will be changed next year and we finally get 2020 Dodge Charger as a new machine with much more performances as before. The price of the old model was around $30,000 for the base model, so we expect the similar number this time.
