2020 Cadillac Escalade comes as a fully redesigned model this time, with great improvements in the speed and design of the car. The size of the model has not been changed from the last version, however, lightweight materials provide a faster and more stable car.
- The model is lightweight and faster than before.
- There is a new independent rear suspension for stability.
- The engines are not very competitive.
- The price is above the average for the class.
The only photograph of 2020 Cadillac Escalade we have for now is from test driving that the manufacturer made later this year. Based on these photos is not easy to predict the design and shape of the parts of the car, since it was covered with camouflage. However, there are visible similarities with the Lincoln Navigator, as before. Not only that the manufacturer provided new lightweight materials in order to make this model faster, but they also brought new platform, already used on Toyota Sierra 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado.
Since the manufacturer has still not finished the interior of the new 2020 Cadillac Escalade, it was impossible to predict the design and equipment in the cabin. There are expected things, like the audio and sound system, surely one of the connections with the phone and USB connectivity in one of the trim versions. The longer wheelbase provides more cargo and cabin space, that is for sure.
Nobody can predict which engine will be found under the hood of 2020 Cadillac Escalade for sure, but we expect 4.2-liter twin-turbocharged V8 as one of the options. This engine produces 500 horsepower of strength or more than that. There is another optional engine that a manufacturer could consider of, a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8. There are high chances that the manufacturer will make some kind of plug-in hybrid version in the future. Whatever the engine that manufacturer offers is, a 10-speed automatic transmission is more than likely for this size of the engine, while the model comes as rear and all-wheel driving system.
2020 Cadillac Escalade Release Date and Price
Even though the first 2020 Cadillac Escalade should be shown in the first half of 2019, the final version will be offered at the end of 2019. Not only that the model brings significant improvements, but it is also only the first one from the five new or redesigned models that Cadillac has prepared for 2020. There should be the new XT4 compact crossover and XT6 mid-size crossover which will be able to see on International Auto Show in Detroit. Along with them, expect redesigned sedans CT4 and CT5 to be shown next year as well. When it comes to the price of this car, the price range will surely start from the $80,000, but according to the rumors, this could be the first Escalade that will have the price higher than $100,000 with all equipment.
