2019 Toyota (Land Rover) Prado is a special edition of famous SUV made in Toyota that comes to the market as the fifth generation of the model, after almost three decades of existence. The model was made for those who like Land Rover, but with much better and stronger engines and that is the main feature of this vehicle.
Design of 2019 Toyota Prado has not been changed for a while and surely has not much different from the standard Land Rover. As the matter of fact, there are only a few changes and details that make this different from Land Rover. The front end is massive and aggressive with wide chromatic grids and extremely large LED front lights on the sides. Below them are rounded fog lights and metallic protection. The rear end has wide chubby trunk door with large and curved rear lights, above metallic protection and wide rear bumper. The sides of the car have chromatic skid plates.
2019 Toyota Prado has very attractive and large cabin with plenty of space for seven passengers and a lot of space for legs and shoulders. The cabin is designed to be more luxury with leathered seats and wide dashboard, with massive and reachable center cluster with all commands. However, for Toyota models has always been interesting which equipment will offer and that is the best in class, including Toyota’s Entune Interface, dual-zone climate control, air conditioning, 9-inch touchscreen, LCD rearview screen and many more.
2019 Toyota Prado will not come to the market with one engine option, which will be different in dependence on the market and country where specific version is offered. Still, base model should have 2.7-liter four-cylinder model with 160 horsepower and 161 pound-feet of torque. This is the only version that could be matched with the five-speed automatic transmission, all of the others come with six-speed one as the only option. The highest trim could have 4.0-liter V6 with 278 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque. The Chinese market, for example, will get 3.5-liter V6 that produces 276 horsepower and 279 pound-feet of torque.
2019 Toyota Prado Release Date and Price
Since the last year version was shown in November at Frankfurt Auto Show, there are high chances that new model will be showed at the fall and then released after that. The price of the current model is around $55,000 for a standard model, but that number could go much higher with all equipment, even to $84,000. According to equipment, engine strength, and design, it seems that the manufacturer made this vehicle to compete with Ford Explorer, and it is its main rival.
