2019 Honda Pilot could be another again after the last redesigning made in 2015. Even that sounds as not a very long period of time, the manufacturer obviously decided to modernize an attractive model and possibly change the class where this car could be put in. as rumors claim, this car will be shown with slightly shorter wheelbase, which changes the measures of the car, saves the fuel and money, but also puts the car in a lower class where it will be first on the list. Even though that will change the cabin, it could be a very interesting change in this year.
The main change in 2019 Honda Pilot is surely shorter wheelbase in combination with almost the same shape and design of the car. That means cute and interesting modern vehicle, but with dimensions for the lower class. However, this change in dimension actually does not change the design of the car. It means shorter third-quarter window and possibly smaller tailgate, while wheels and front bumper could be even bigger. As the manufacturer promised with the previous model (but never fulfilled that promise), there is a black-trim version. However, it should have the same design of the front end, with recognizable gridded grille and large LED front lights.
As we said, the cabin in 2019 Honda Pilot could be slightly shorter than on current model which will affect passengers’ comfort. However, the manufacturer resolved that problem offering better equipment and entertainment system. As we know, there will be a better touchscreen with more commands, while the cabin design and materials could be changed, at least in higher trims. Manufacturer mentioned wood and leather as possible options.
Besides the 3.5-liter V6 petrol unit placed in the current model, the manufacturer could offer another option with a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine with 240 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque in 2019 Honda Odyssey. Even though the first engine option is strong enough to produce 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, for smaller and shorter car as the new model is it is good to have weaker and more economical engine. Both should be paired with 10-speed automatic transmission and has the front-wheel driving system only.
2019 Honda Pilot
2019 Honda Pilot should be on the market at the end of 2018, perhaps in September, for the price between $24,000 which is the price for CR-V, which is the main competitor and price of the current model – $30,000. Shorter wheelbase allows lower price which is always good to strive in order to be more competitive.
