The Jaguar brand has been preparing the updated version of its XE as a 2018 model. After its launching in the U.S. last year, the XE model comes with all-new engine upgrades and improved performances. Always known for its speed, the Jaguar will not let us down this time either.
When we talk about the exterior of the new 2018 Jaguar XE, we inform you that its elegant design promises high performances at the same time. This powerful and luxurious vehicle once again kept its aerodynamic styling that simply cuts through the air. This model has been largely inspired by race-car designs and it will be available in several trims. In the front fascia, you will notice the Adaptive Xenon headlights featuring LED signature. Looking at the profile, what first caught our attention are the chrome side vents that give this vehicle sporty appearance and that are similar to those seen on the F-Type models. The side windows have been chrome-edged. In the back, you will see a deliberately short overhang and the taillights that also have been inspired by the F-Type design.
The inside of the 2018 Jaguar XE simply promises the luxury and modern features that you have been used to when it comes to this brand. The finest leather and top-quality materials as well as comfort are guaranteed to driver and the passengers. It will be well-equipped with the latest infotainment and entertainment systems, but also get some new safety and driver assistance features. Depending on the trim you decide upon, you can expect two forms on Jaguar’s infotainment systems. The first of them is In Control Touch multimedia system with an 8.0-inch touch screen and various options such as audio and climate control, satellite navigation, Bluetooth and other forms of connectivity. If you choose a higher trim, the new XE will provide its In Control Touch Pro infotainment system with the 10.2-inch touch screen and additional options such as Wi-Fi hotspot. Standard safety features, that include blind spot monitoring and emergency braking, will be improved by adding forward cross-traffic detection and additional parking guidance.
It has been announced that the 2018 Jaguar XE is going to get all-new inline-four that comes from the well-known Jaguar’s Ingenium power train family. One of the options will come with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine that will be able to deliver 247 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. The other, diesel version, will come with 180 horsepower and 318 pound-feet of torque. Another possible version is the 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 engine, with either 340 or 380 horsepower, which this model shares with the F-Type. All of the options will be mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and you can choose between rear-wheel or all-wheel-drive system.
