2018 Honda Civic brings many changes, but one of the most interesting this time is changing in size. The reason is the last model which has been almost on the verge for being declared as smaller than compact due to its low measures. This time manufacturer made slightly larger compact model, so the 10th generation of Civic is classic compact. Together with that, there are still a four-door hatchback, coupe, and sedan classified with EPA marks as typical sized for that class. Other details are changes but only to make this car closest to other modern cars on the market.
There are no many changes in outside design in new 2018 Honda Civic, according to photos. At first glance, there is the recognizable front end, with a thin metallic line over the front end that ends with thin LED front lights, all incorporated in rounded hood line. Below them are wide air intake and small rounded fog lights. Depending on the model and version, there could be a rounded rear end, with slightly bunched rear lights, made in LED technology and some curved lines on the truck door. Some sporty versions obviously got a highly positioned wide spoiler, while coupe and hatchback are simple without extra decoration. Wide dent line goes over sides of the car. Thin chromatic line rounds windows and glasses, and there is thin plastic protection on the bottom. The roof is convex, literally finishing in the truck door.
There are possibly three engines which manufacturer can put in 2018 Honda Civic, as we are still not sure which one is planned to be under the hood at this moment. Firstly is obviously a possible 2.0-liter four-in-line as on the current model, with 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with the six-speed manual transmission which could be the same option on the new model, too, although some higher trims also have CVT automatic transmission. The second option is the available engine in higher trims on current model 1.5-liter four-in-line with 180 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. Whatever it is, we are sure that offered engines will be the best in class, knowing how much manufacturer pays attention to engine type and strength.
