The 2018 Dodge Durango offers a two strong engine options. The first is a 3.6-Liter Pentastar V-6 capable of producing 290 horsepower and 260 pound feet of torque this one is a standard engine. The second optional engine is a 5.7-Liter HEMI V-8 that puts out 360 horsepower and 390 pound feet of torque. Both engines are mated with eight-speed automatic transmission.
The V8 HEMI engine feature a technology called “Fuel Saver Technology” which is deactivating cylinders when not needed to enhance fuel economy. V6 engines include stop-start tech and all models have the Eco mode also to increase fuel economy. EPA estimates are 14/23 mpg
