It seems that Dodge fans have not been waiting for many years to meet the new Avenger. Its last update was in 2013 and now this family car is going to hit the market as a 2018 model. However, according to the spy photos and the information we have got, you probably should not expect any significant changes compared to the current model.
As we have already mentioned in the intro, the 2018 Dodge Avenger will retain most of the features we have seen on its predecessor, including the dimensions and size. Some parts will of course be redesigned and get a bit more modern appearance, while the whole vehicle will appear kind of aggressive. The most distinctive change is probably expected in the front fascia, but this information has not been confirmed. You will probably find a large chrome grille and automatic LED headlights. The new Avenger will most likely be standing on 18-inch alloy wheels and it will be available in eight exterior colors. In the back part of the vehicle, this model will get the LED taillights and probably dual exhausts. The current model is available in three trims: SE, SXT and RT so this will probably be the case with the new Avenger as well.
When it comes to interior of the 2018 Dodge Avenger, we must say that you should not be expecting sports seats or the ultimate luxury. However, it will include the standard features found in family cars and we believe that you will not be disappointed. The seats should be comfortable, supportive and covered in soft-touch materials. The dashboard, center console and hi-tech options will be upgraded so you can hope for features such as audio system, dual USB ports, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connectivity, air conditioning, keyless entry and others. The new Avenger will also take care of your safety and include options such as adaptive cruise control, airbags, 360-degree camera system, electronic stability control, electronic traction control and blind-spot monitoring.
The information about the engine of the 2018 Dodge Avenger has not been confirmed yet, but it will probably come with two options. The first of them, probably found in higher trims, will be the 3.6-liter V6 which was able to deliver 283 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque so it is now expected to be more powerful and go up to 400 horsepower. The other possibility would include the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and 173 horsepower. This model will probably get an eight-speed automatic transmission and a rear-wheel-drive system. The estimated time that it takes to hit 60mph is 8.0 seconds.
2018 Dodge Avenger
The release date of the 2018 Dodge Avenger is unknown, but it should be expected by the end of this year or in early 2018. The base version of the current model starts at $19,395 and it goes up to $25,695 for the RT trim. We believe that the price of the new Avenger will be similar.
