The 2017 New York auto show introduced us high-powered American retro muscle car. Where previous Trans Am cars were based on the fifth generation Chevrolet Camaro and GM’s Zeta chassis, the new 2017 Trans Am Super Duty is the first model built around the sixth generation Camaro and lighter Alpha chassis. The name Trans Am has always been synonym for beauty, speed and strength.
The exterior of the 2017 Trans Am Super Duty is styled after the Pontiac Trans Am of the 1970s. This model is completely made of the full carbon fiber. It has recognizable shape, with the thin dual front grill and LED front lights in shape of the line, not classic lights. There are two gridded air intakes and two holes with the small fog lights. An air intake is positioned in the middle of the curved hood. The wide rear end and wide spoiler on the top trunk door give this model a modern look. According to the company, Magnuson and a premier NASCAR builder both contributed to the lofty figure. The whole car is sporty and aggressive.
The 2017 Trans Am Super Duty’s interior is a combination of the luxury and sporty design. The cabin clearly echoes the Camaro but there is a number of unique touches which differentiate these two models. Inside the car we can see that the interior has been customized with black leather seats with Super Duty emblems and door panels and door sills with Super Duty graphics. There is a large dashboard with the necessary buttons and commands and drivers can also expect special floor mats. Everything inside this model offers a relaxing but stable driving at high speeds.
This model has amazing 1,000 horsepower strength. That’s right! Thanks to its strong 2.3-liter supercharged engine which produces 1,046 pound-feet of torque together with the 45ci modified LT1 Direct Injection. Also, the Super Duty is equipped with 20-inch 10 Spoke Crawler Race Wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The speed and other figures are still not known but we are sure that the customers will not be disappointed.
